Stone wool also known as Mineral wool.
Product, Material, Uses, Applications, Sustainability and Packaging.
Product: Stone wool also known as Rock wool or Mineral wool (Brand ISOVER)
ISOVER stone wool products combine mechanical resistance, moisture resistance, excellent thermal and acoustic insulation performance, and superior passive fire protection.
Material: Made from molten rock and minerals with steel slag that is heated and spun in a cupola furnace. It is comprised of 70% natural raw materials including basalt, dolomite and similar rocks.

Used to achieve:
Acoustic Insulation
Stone wool products are high in density and contain small air pockets which makes them excellent at noise reduction and sound absorption. Sound insulation of up to 52 dB and even higher in many cases.
Thermal Insulation
Stone wool has excellent acoustical dampening properties. They are high density and have a thermal conductivity of 0.0047W/m∙ The tiny pockets of air trapped within the physical structure of the stone wool reduce airflow and heat flow. It maintains its shape and density for long-term thermal performance throughout the lifetime of the building or technical application.
In addition, our upgraded line of ULTIMATE™ stone wool can produce a stronger thermal conductivity effect up to 25% more than the regular Stone wool. ULTIMATE™ is made with 45% less material than the conventional Stone wool products.
Passive Fire Protection
Stone wool is fire resistant and our ULTIMATE™ line of insulation guarantees superior fire resistance and excellent thermal stability even at constantly high service temperatures up to 620°C. ULTIMATE™ scores the best ranking in the Euroclass system (classification A1) and has been certified to comply with EN 1366.
Water Resistant
Dry lining in walls to fill cracks, prevent humidity and water from coming in or condensation from forming within the structure.
Sustainability:
We constantly seek to reduce our resource use and the emissions which are emitted during the production process and supply chain. Stone wool is made of 50%-70% recycled content and has a positive energy and CO2 balance after 3 months. Since it is made of natural volcanic minerals, it can be recycled and is biosoluble according to EUCEB and RAL, therefore it doesn’t pose any health risks.
Product Delivered as: Rolls, Customized Slabs, Pipe sections, Crimped or Wired mats and Loose wool.
Applications: Floors, Walls, Façade, Roof, Curtain Wall

Glass Wool also known as Glass Fiber wool or Fiber glass.
Product, Material, Uses, Applications, Sustainability and Packaging.
Product: Glass wool also known as Glass Fiber wool or Fiber Glass (Brand ISOVER) is one of the most effective and sustainable insulation materials on the market. The exceptional thermal properties help prevent heat/cold loss, save energy and therefore reduce emissions and running costs. The porous, elastic structure means that glass wool is very good at reducing and eliminating noise. Glass wool doesn’t fuel fire or propagate flames either, as it is incombustible by nature.
Material: That our glass-wool products contain as much as 80% recycled content. ISOVER released a new glass wool with a 100% bio-sourced binder, this new patented material is soft to touch, light to handle, and easy to cut.
Used to achieve:
Acoustic Insulation
Glass wool has a high density, which makes it an excellent sound absorber. It can absorb up to 90% of sound waves, making it an effective soundproofing material. The limber, light weight and clean properties of glass wool make it an excellent solution for insulating structure, pipes, ceiling panels, ducts and HVAC insulation.

Thermal Insulation
Glass wool, also known as fiberglass, has excellent thermal properties help you save energy and lower your environmental impact at operating temperatures up to 300°C. Glass wool has a thermal conductivity between 0.023 and 0.040W/m∙K.
Passive Fire Protection
Incombustible by nature, glass wool doesn’t fuel fire or propagate flames.
Sustainability: The new ISOVER glass wool is manufactured using mineral materials – recycled glass accounts for a minimum of 40% – and 100% bio-sourced binder. It is infinitely recyclable. What’s more, when used to insulate the walls and roof of a house, it can reduce carbon emissions from heating by 40%, that is 150 metric tons of carbon over the lifespan of a building or the equivalent of one million kilometers travelled by car.
Product Delivered as: Rolls, Customized Slabs, Pipe sections, Crimped or Wired mats and Loose wool.
Application:Glass wool can be applied for Duct Thermal, Duct acoustic, AHU room, Metal roof insulation, Wall cladding, underdeck, Partitions and Cavity wall installations.
