What is a Control Cable?
A control cable is an multi conductor electrical cable specifically designed to transmit signals to different parts of the electrical system and to supply smaller applications with energy.
These cables are commonly UL and/or CSA rated and are typically shielded with either a foil, braid, or a combination of both. Flexibility is an important factor when selecting a control cable. It’s essential to determine whether the cable simply needs to be flexible or if it will be subject to continuous flexing. Cables designed for continuous flexing in automation require different constructions compared to those that only need basic flexibility for proper routing and functionality.
Unigroup FZE offers control cables with low minimum order quantities and competitive lead times. Our Solution Engineers provide expert guidance in designing the ideal control cable for specific applications, having successfully supported numerous custom projects in the UAE and GCC. Unigroup understands the complexities involved in cable selection and ensures that, regardless of the environment or function, a cable can be tailored to allow the equipment to operate as required.
