Highways Technologies

Unigroup Highways Technologies Division specialises in the supply and operational support of innovative highways maintenance solutions. Our mission is to introduce new innovative technologies to the G.C.C and wider Middle East that resolves current issues facing local authorities and /or municipalities.

Unigroup’s Highways Technologies division can offer a wide range of services including:

· Machinery supply

· Material supply

· Operational implementation

· Research and development of materials

· Operator training

· Machinery maintenance and service

Road Maintenance

Like all structures, roads deteriorate over time. Deterioration is primarily due to accumulated damage from vehicles, however environmental effects such as thermal cracking and oxidation often contribute.

Pavements are designed for an expected service life or design life.

Roads can be and are designed for a variety of lives (8-, 15-, 30-, and 60-year designs).

Virtually all roads require some form of maintenance before they come to the end of their service life. Pro-active agencies continually monitor road conditions and apply preventive maintenance treatments as needed to prolong the lifespan of their roads.

Jetpatcher and Nu Phalt processes are ideal solutions that can work hand in hand to resolve many road repairs maintenance issues.

First Jetpatcher™ for the Middle East dispatched to Ashghal (Doha, Qatar) in Jan 2012!

The first Jetpatcher was assembled and commissioned at Unigroup FZE by Jim Turnbull (Director), Guillermo Pfiefer (Operations Director Mexico) and the Unigroup team.

The Jetpatcher Inspection was carried out by officials from Ashghal. Jetpatcher successfully cleared the pre-dispatch Inspection Test and Practical test with emulsion and aggregate. Public Works Authority also known as Ashghal in Doha, Qatar found the machine to be very impressive and efficient.

Jetpatcher is proud to announce its new distributor in the UK and Ireland - Jetpatcher Ltd.

Steve and his team will work with current and new customers to ensure the original, genuine Jetpatcher technology is available with the latest machinery developments to continue improving local roads for users.

S-T Group, as the Indian distributor for Jetpatcher™, exhibited the latest Jetpatcher machinery at the trade show - BC India recently held in Mumbai. A very successful show for all concerned.

Nu-Phalt becomes an NJUG Affiliate

Nu-Phalt has signed up to a new initiative, launched this year by the National Joint Utilities Group. Affiliateship to NJUG will offer Nu-Phalt the opportunity to join the street works community alongside utilities, contractors and local government stakeholders to demonstrate how standards and performance can be raised through using Nu-Phalt's unique system.
